The Storm

There’s something about the ocean—the way it shifts and swells, wild and calming all at once. For this session, it wasn’t just a backdrop. It was part of the story.

We planned the shoot around a forecasted storm. My client wanted the storm. The dark skies, the rising wind—it all mirrored what she’s walked through in life. The pain. The uncertainty. And the strength it takes to keep going.

This wasn’t about perfect poses or pretty smiles. It was about showing up—raw, real, and strong in the middle of it all.

Photography, to me, is more than capturing beauty. It’s telling stories. Sometimes joyful ones. Sometimes painful. Always true.

This session was about resilience. Healing. And the quiet power of saying, I’m still here.

And she is—standing strong, even in the storm.
